The bad, is that there is a constant link of data flow between the RAZER peripheral and Synapse 3. The good, is that any foreign realteration does not permanently change the RGB or key mappings Razer peripherals must remain connected with Synapse 3 running in the background to maintain the lighting. Kind of like a computer RAM, the data you send to RAM is stored temporary, but once the computer shuts down all memory is lost / deleted. So if the keyboard is sold to a new buyer, the buyer cannot use Synapse to change the keyboard features.īy creating the Synapse 3 way, even if the peripheral hacker changes keyboard features, it will not be permanently saved or stored. So the keyboard features of RGB co-ordination or key adjustment is no longer controlled by Synapse, but by this foreign way. But what this foreign adjustment does, it creates software realteration on the keyboard circuitry (flash ROMs). Many computer enthusiast look for ways to creating their own software or utilize other software to create their own RGB or key adjustments pretty much "peripheral hackers". I had a BlackWidow Chroma V1, where the onboard profile remains intact on the keyboard, and beautiful colours as far as the eye can see.īut there is an issue to this and I have seen it. Until Synapse 3 is running in the background, all peripherals of RGB and features will be set to default.Įven when you lock your Windows account (Windows button + L), I think the Synapse app enters "sleep mode" which make the peripherals lose the user's Synapse configuration. That is a normal behavior of RAZER peripherals that utilize Synapse 3.
